Pavilion
It wasn't a good Sunday to receive call from my colleague and had to go back to client site to finish up some last minute job. Since the place is located at KL Sentral, so I decided to travel light with my company laptop and my personal Canon A710IS. It was a quick job and finished within 2 hours, so I called up my friend to visit the new shopping center - Pavilion - around Bukit Bintang area. The environment gives me the luxury feeling of Siam Paragon in Bangkok. They held the fashion show in the evening and it's my first time capturing it with a compact cam, and it's challenging.
Right opposite Pavilion is the LV shop.

Gorillapod
Gorillapod is not the latest product in the market, but it's still quite new to most people. It comes in three sizes: Original, SLR and SLR-Zoom. The one I've just got is the SLR version, which is able to hold a DSLR body with lens up to 1.1kg. Its legs are flexible, so you can adjust it according to different terrain. Not only that, if you've got the guts, you can even tie it onto a pole, tree branch, etc...I don't have so much of guts to mount my DSLR on it (different case with the SLR-Zoom version), but certainly feel confident enough to mount my flash on it. Sometimes it's quite troublesome to bring along lightstand, so this little thing works for me especially if I don't require the use of umbrella.

Happy Repair
Had just got the Myvi back home yesterday after 2 days of repair. The bumper, rear wheel well and the reflector were replaced. The door was knocked and resprayed. I'm very satisfied with the workmanship. The paintshop uses full set of DuPont products. The clearcoat is high solid type, for better chemical resistance and gloss. There're a few bits of dust nibs, but that's acceptable. Will give the paint 2 months to settle before any compounding will be done. Send me an email to askzey@gmail.com if you need the contact of the paintshop.

Poor Myvi
She was being pampered with a nice car wash with Meguiar's Shampoo Plus and a quick detailing with Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer. The Myvi was in really tip top condition last night. Things changed so fast with an accident which took place at home. Not too sure what did my mom do, but the car rolled backwards, banged the gate till it opened, all the way to the opposite side of the road. No idea why the handbrake wasn't being engaged and I can't think of a reason why the gear wasn't in P position. I didn't have the mood to ask how did it happen but just sourced out for a good quality painter's contact from my detailing guru. Hopefully the workmanship will be satisfying. Checkout the areas affected:
Broken rear bumper
Broken rear bumper
Dented rear left door
Bumper mount broken
Broken wheel well
There's one more problem yet to be fixed by the Perodua: engine oil leakage. Bad news after bad news.

Client's New Office
Had been busy with new project at client's new office. Most of the things are settled. No more drillings, paintings and hackings. The first batch will move in on next Monday (17/9/2007) and the second batch will move in on the following week. The feeling of building something from scratch is fun and satisfying. You might know who is my client by viewing the photo below which I took it at Level 12 of 1Sentral.
