great detailing on the swift. i don't know anything about detailing, but i can see it's done well :)

haha but i don't think i'll be diligent enough to detail my future car hehe...

now seriously considering the 17-85 vs 17-40.. confused between f4L sharpness and 85mm IS..

I have owned both 17-40L and 17-85IS at the same time before. When I have the 17-85IS, I never touch my 17-40 at all. The IS and the more versatile focal length range are really useful on the 17-85IS. I suggest you go with 17-85IS first, and in future when you have got your 70-200, then only settle with a 17-40L and get rid of your 17-85IS.
