awesome! i still don't really understand how a bigger sensor affects depth of field.:/ colours sure look better and more saturated with the 5D! what's next, fisheye? :P
:D An APS-C sensor is able produce alot less depth-of-field compared to a compact cam's sensor (usually the 1/2.5" type). This is because APS-C sensor is alot larger than compact cam's sensor. Same goes for a 35mm sensor is able to produce less DOF compared to an APS-C sensor as it's 2.5x larger in size.
